A different approach to healthcare
Albert Schweitzer once wrote “every patient carries his or her doctor inside.” Our mission is to help each individual who walks through our door to achieve exactly that.
Whereas Eastern medicine focuses on the whole person and Western medicine sees the body as pieces and parts; we combine the wisdom of both systems to awaken and cultivate your body’s innate healing potential.
Understanding you and your goals is the most important factor in navigating true north towards health and optimal function. This is called being “patient centered” and it is at the core of our practice approach. In fact, we see it as the only realistic way to deliver healthcare with integrity. Dr. Pine offers a diverse synthesis of clinical processes for that purpose.
We invite you to learn more about them in our therapies section on the website. They include Chiropractic, Brainspotting, Functional Medicine, Neuro Emotional Technique, Integrative Nutrition, Dry Needling, Ayurveda and more to facilitate a fast and effective recovery towards your health and life goals. This is a drug free and surgery free method for regaining health.
Whether taking that first step in reclaiming your health, looking for a comprehensive approach to an ongoing process or to simply promote true wellness, we are here to be of your service.
Meet Dov
Dr. Dov Pine is a Georgia native; born in Athens and raised in Atlanta. The path that led to becoming a Chiropractor started during his mid-twenties. He injured his L4 and 5 discs when an acrobatic attempt “didn’t work out.” This was in Israel around 2007. During the healing process, his experiences with Chiropractic, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Yoga and more led him to embrace Chiropractic as a patient and later as a practitioner.
Dr. Pine’s background involves the unique combination of Chiropractic and Functional Medicine with martial arts and healing disciplines of the East. While in Chiropractic school, he studied Ayurveda with the American Institute of Vedic Studies. Later, he interned at a center for Chronic Degenerative Disease Reversal in Santa Rosa, California called TrueNorth Health. There he trained in Plant Based Nutrition and medical supervision of Water Fasting, an extremely effective method of reversing chronic conditions including hypertension and heart disease, diabetes, rheumatoid disorders, autoimmune conditions, obesity and more.
In 2013 Dov and his wife Alondra moved to Australia. They settled into the beautiful Northern Rivers region of New South Wales and later worked their way down to The Hunter Region where he works with patients of all ages and conditions in Newcastle. In addition to general care, Dov performs tailored clinical programs for chronic degenerative disease reversal, addiction recovery, libido and vitality restoration, pediatric and developmental challenges, athletic injuries and more.
Dov and Alondra have been vegetarian for years and 100% Plant Based since 2013. The plant based lifestyle is central to his philosophy as a health care provider. Emphasis on plant based nutrition reduces systemic inflammation, restores balance to human physiology, reduces the suffering of animals and preserves the ecological systems of our planet.
When not with patients, Dov is actively engaged in the martial arts, calisthenics, weight training and running. If not working up a sweat, he is probably goofing around in the kitchen, annoying his wife or enjoying a good history book. Dov participates regularly in Chiropractic and Functional Medicine symposiums, training seminars and research presentations to maintain and improve cutting edge skills for his patients.
